Lymphatic Massage (MLD)

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a gentle and very effective method to assist the lymphatic system to drain and calm the autonomic nervous system. This gentle and rhythmic approach stretches the skin to direct fluid along drainage pathways supporting restoration and wellness.

The benefits of Manual Lymph Drainage:

  • Relaxes and restores. the sympathetic nervous system.

  • Helps with conditions of pain. effect on the central nervous system

  • Helps to decongest the soft tissue

  • Supports a healthy immune system by increasing the flow of lymph,

  • Increases the flow of blood without an increase in blood pressure

MLD is sought after by Cancer survivors and for pre-operative and a post-operative care by surgeons to help their patients recover more quickly and with less pain. It is effective in helping to reduce edema and for managing lymphedema, often resulting from cancer and radiation. Other forms of inflammation, like fibromyalgia, migraines, rosacea, sinus congestion, and injuries, also respond beautifully from MLD therapy.

Gentle and Effective Lymphatic Massage

MLD is very gentle as it is primarily concerned with stretching the dermal layer (the skin) in rhythmical patterns. Most sessions take about on hour to one and a half and blend nicely with acupressure, shiatsu, and aromatherapy, for which I have over 25 years of experience.

I am certified by the Vodder School. and Klose Training. Dr. Vodder developed this in Europe and it has become widely accepted.
